Throughout the year our regional team travel to Ukraine on multiple occasions to meet with prospective students. Once the traveling dates are confirmed, the details of our trips will be available so you can arrange to meet our team in your country. This beautiful city is home to some stunning city centre parks, a vibrant waterfront, an eclectic night-life and a lively arts and music scene. There is so much on offer to residents, with always something going on that is truly unique.
Christianity
No matter what your preferred style of worship, Southampton is a multicultural city and those who are looking to join a local Christian community have a number of options available to them. Many of the churches listed below hold special student events and services, so meeting new people will be easy.
St Mary’s Church
St Mary’s Church is the oldest site of Christian worship in Southampton. It is also where Southampton Football Club gets its nickname ‘the Saints’ from. Services at St Mary’s are designed to be reverential, evangelical and accessible to everyone.
In Southampton, you will find one of the UK’s largest shopping centres, West Quay, where you can find some amazing deals on clothing, gadgets, food and much, much more! At the other end of the city is Bedford Place, the centre of the city’s night-life and home to a magnificent range of pubs and clubs.
Southampton has a wide range of International supermarkets, with a variety of cuisine ingredients. Thanks to these wonderful stores, you will always be able to find the ingredients that remind you of home.
As a Solent student you will have access to some of the best sport facilities around. If you want to stay or get fit, why not join one of Solent Sport’s many fitness classes, or gym at Sports Centre St Mary’s? Solent University has a number of sports teams at all levels – so you can find a team, and level of competitiveness that is perfect for you.
