At Solent University we recognise that Ukrainian students will hold numerous different international qualifications when applying for our programmes and courses.

Below are the current qualifications and the equivalencies we accept:

For entry to IELTS Requirements Academic Requirements
International Foundation Programme (2 Term) IELTS 5.5 overall (minimum 5.5 in each individual component), or equivalent from a UKVI Approved Centre Cambridge Overseas School Certificate/KCSE with C6
International Foundation Programme (3 Term) IELTS 5.5 overall (minimum 5.5 in each individual component), or equivalent from a UKVI Approved Centre Cambridge Overseas School Certificate/KCSE with C6

No matter what your preferred style of worship, Southampton is a multicultural city and those who are looking to join a local Christian community have a number of options available to them. Many of the churches listed below hold special student events and services, so meeting new people will be easy.

St Nicholas

Originally founded in 1964, St Nicholas is a Greek Orthodox Church located just a few minutes outside of the city centre. This church delivers traditional Greek Orthodox services in Greek and, less frequently, English.

St Mary’s Church

St Mary’s Church is the oldest site of Christian worship in Southampton. It is also where Southampton Football Club gets its nickname ‘the Saints’ from. Services at St Mary’s are designed to be reverential, evangelical and accessible to everyone.

In Southampton, you will find one of the UK’s largest shopping centres, West Quay, where you can find some amazing deals on clothing, gadgets, food and much, much more! At the other end of the city is Bedford Place, the centre of the city’s night-life and home to a magnificent range of pubs and clubs.

Southampton has a wide range of International supermarkets, with a variety of cuisine ingredients. Thanks to these wonderful stores, you will always be able to find the ingredients that remind you of home.
