Designed to strengthen your academic skills, develop your subject-specific knowledge, and enhance your English language proficiency, ensuring you’re fully prepared to enter the second year of an undergraduate degree.

Our International Year One programme offers a smooth transition to university, allowing you to join our BSc Business Management or BSc Computer Science courses. It’s perfect for students who exceed the qualifications of a Foundation Year but don’t yet meet the direct entry requirements for an undergraduate degree. With intakes in October and January, you can progress to your chosen degree course the following September. 

Designed as a degree preparation programme to bridge your academic and English language gaps, offering a fast-track entry to Year 2 of an undergraduate degree. International Year One – BSc (Hons) Business Management

Starting with the fundamentals, studying this programme you’ll explore user experience (UX) design and learn the techniques and tools to design, plan and develop a user research strategy. With an introduction to networks and security and programming problem-solving, by the end of the course, you’ll be well-equipped to meet the entry requirements for a computer science degree at Solent University.
