International Foundation Programme
Why did you choose to study an International Foundation Programme at Solent University?
Having the right degree and knowledge will guarantee me a good job in a reputable company or business, which will in turn fetch me a good salary.
What were you doing before you started studying?
I was enrolled in a Microsoft school for 6 months studying Computing and Hardware, after which I helped my uncle run the family business.
How has your university experience been so far?
It wasn’t easy at first as it was a very new environment with new faces and new weather. But with the help of my lecturers, I have learnt to adapt to both university life as a student and life in the UK.
Have the lecturers and resources helped you during your studies?
The lecturers and resources available are lifesaving! They have helped make my studies much easier and comfortable. The lecturers are very patient, understanding, caring and educated.
What has been the best part of your experience so far?
Easy access to the facilities and meeting new friends. It hasn’t been too stressful as breaks are given to relax from school and I receive the best knowledge in the classroom.
What do you hope to gain from your experience?
I hope to have all the necessary skills and knowledge before proceeding to my main course without any setbacks or difficulties. In the meantime, I hope to enjoy my time on campus before graduating successfully with flying colours.
What are your plans for after you complete your course?
After completing my course, I intend to go back to my home country, get employed by a business and later return to the UK to further my education. I then hope to do a Master’s degree and later get a reputable job in the business world.
