Can you share the moment that made you want to study at Solent University Centres?
One of my colleagues was a student here and I got a strong recommendation from him. I read the student reviews, they shared their experiences and I have come to know about the nice atmosphere and the excellent teaching staff.
What is it about your subject that inspires you the most?
It offers potential for job security and competitive salaries and a chance to work in various industries from software development to cyber security to data analysis. The field of computing is a very versatile field.
I can also say I have been inspired by the teachers and I will say this repeatedly, because their guidance, their support and their career advice have played a crucial role in my academic year.
What’s been the best part of your experience so far?
The best part of the experience was learning coding and C programming, I was so excited that I learned a new skill.
Do you have any advice for students who are thinking of coming to study here?
I would advise them to explore the campus and research the programme they want to do on the internet. They should talk to the students and support services to get feedback and plan for the tuition fees, student loans or scholarships.
What is your favourite thing about Birmingham as a place to study?
I’m happy to be here in Birmingham, it’s one of the most culturally diverse cities in the UK and this diversity is reflected in food, festivals and cultural events. It is known as a student-friendly city.
