Solent University Centres is part of a partnership between QA Higher Education and Southampton Solent University, delivering Solent University degrees at major city centre locations in the UK.

We see the need for flexible, accessible and specialist degrees for students like you, who have ambition to do and achieve their best. At each of our campuses, you’ll benefit from an inclusive, intellectually stimulating environment that’ll prepare you to turn your learning into careers with real, meaningful impact.

Why choose to study at a university centre in London, Birmingham or Manchester?

Our centres are smaller university teaching sites in different locations from the main campus and university facilities.

While Southampton Solent University’s main base is in Southampton, you can also study at welcoming teaching centres in central London, Birmingham, and Manchester.

Here’s why studying at our centres might be right for you:

  • Study close to home: Our university centres in London, Birmingham, or Manchester bring Solent University degrees to you, giving you the chance to follow your passions while living or working locally
  • Supportive academic community: Enjoy a smaller, close-knit academic environment, making it easier to build friendships and connect with students from diverse backgrounds and even those studying with other universities.
  • Blend learning with your lifestyle: Our blended learning options and alternative study timetables have been designed for a new wave of students like you who need to balance study with work and life. Our centres are open Monday to Saturday, providing access to study spaces, learning resources, and support teams even outside class hours.
  • Multiple start dates: Start your studies at a time that works for you, with a choice of intakes throughout the year.
  • Central city locations: Our campuses are easily accessible, centrally located and close to major transport links. You’re also never far from the city’s cafes, shops, amenities and culture spots (including their student discounts) to enjoy outside of your classes. Our central locations mean that the city is your campus.
  • Employability at the core: As smaller teaching locations, we focus on degree programmes that align with growing industries and in-demand skills. Our degrees are delivered in response to local and national employer needs, ensuring you graduate ready to step into the future with qualifications that take you further.
  • Learning focused facilities: Learning is central to our branch campus facilities. Each building is kitted out with everything you need to thrive in your studies including classrooms, study space, support teams, social areas, computer labs and learning resources.
