{"id":617,"date":"2020-01-09T16:52:03","date_gmt":"2020-01-09T16:52:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qa.solent.ac.uk\/pathway\/?page_id=617"},"modified":"2026-08-05T16:02:28","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T15:02:28","slug":"how-to-apply","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/qa.solent.ac.uk\/pathway\/how-to-apply\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Apply for Solent Pathways"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Applying To Solent Pathways<\/h2>\n<p>Now you\u2019ve decided on the right <a href=\"https:\/\/qa.solent.ac.uk\/pathway\/courses\/\">course<\/a> and location for you, it\u2019s time to begin your application.<\/p>\n<p>You can apply online to study one of our foundation programmes and below is a handy guide for what to expect.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>On the course page, click the Apply online link for your chosen course and start date<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<a href=\"\/pathway\/courses\/\" class=\"btn btn-default btn btn-red\">View All Courses<\/a>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>You\u2019ll be taken to our online portal where you\u2019ll need to create a login for your application<\/li>\n<li>Work through each section on the online form. If you need to find copies of any documents, you can save your application and return to it later, just remember to use the login details you created in step 2.<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019ll have a chance to review your application before finally submitting, make sure all of your supporting documents are attached.<\/li>\n<li>Submit your application through the online portal<\/li>\n<li>Your application will be reviewed and our Admissions Team will confirm the next steps via email to the address provided on your submitted application.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>UK Agent Guide<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: var(--text-align)\">If you are planning on applying through an agent, we recommend you first refer to the student guide for finding the right education agent from the British Council guide<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/ucarecdn.com\/9added83-d239-45be-87a5-7ecdf0b007de\/\">here<\/a><\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please refer to our <a href=\"https:\/\/qa.solent.ac.uk\/pathway\/how-to-apply\/applying-via-an-education-agent\/\"><strong>Applying via an Education Agent<\/strong><\/a> webpage for full details, including a step-by-step guide to the application process.<\/p>\n<h3>Supporting documents<\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Examples of supporting documents you will need to send with your application:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Your passport personal details page<\/li>\n<li>Copies of previous qualifications, including final certificates and transcripts, translated in to English (if not in English)<\/li>\n<li>Copy of your Personal Statement (more than 250 words)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>In addition to supporting documents, you may also need to send the following:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Copy of your CV<\/li>\n<li>Copy of English language qualifications (e.g. IELTS)<\/li>\n<li>Copies of any previous UK visa(s)*<\/li>\n<li>Copies of any CAS(s) for each course studied*<\/li>\n<li>Copy of all previous visa refusals (and Home Office correspondence)*<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*If you do not have the above-required evidence, we are able (once granted your consent) to contact the UKVI to verify your immigration status and immigration history.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Want to ask Solent Pathways a question about applying?<\/h2>\n<p>We understand that choosing which course to study, and where to study can be a big decision, which is why our team is available to help.
