About The Course

WHAT WILL I STUDY?

The International Year One – Business introduces you to a broad range of business areas such as marketing, accounting, economics and management whilst developing your academic study and English language skills. Units are taught over two rather than one terms, providing the opportunity for a pace of learning that recognises the need for international students to adjust to studying in a second language and to the expectations of the UK educational system and of living in the UK.

Assessments are weighted towards the end of the programme to allow learners maximum time to develop academically through individual and group coursework, exams and presentations. This approach is typical at the undergraduate level, leaving you well-placed for successful degree studies in a range of fields including Business Management, Marketing, Events Management, Festival Events Management and International Tourism Management.

These programmes are delivered as part of a partnership between Solent University and QA Higher Education. The programmes are validated by the University and delivered by QA Higher Education staff.
